Caffi&#8221; Museum of Natural Sciences<\/strong> (point 2), immediately to the right of the Tower. Once known as Piazza Nuova, it preserves an ancient water cistern for water supplies and gives access to the main artery of the Upper Town: via Colleoni, also known as the Corsarola, the favorite walk of the people of Bergamo. The elegant Neoclassical-style building in which it is located features a main body and two side wings, framing a courtyard often open to visitors&#8217; relaxation. Founded in the late 1700s, the museum holds numerous collections donated by generous patrons-including the original Giacomo Carrara collection-and has hundreds of precious works including paintings, sculptures, and applied arts.
